Dermal Fillers / Facial Fillers
Dermal fillers are the main solution we use to smooth wrinkles and fine lines, reinvigorate skin, and creating a youthful appearance. They are injected directly beneath a line or fold to fill the depression it makes in the skin.

Dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid (hyaluronate) is an important physiological substance that all skins contain naturally. Its key role is to maintain the plumpness and moisture that helps keep the skin surface smooth and lifted, but levels of HA decline with age.

What results can I expect from my treatment?
Results will vary depending on your pre-existing condition, desired results, and the condition of your skin and surrounding facial structures. You can expect your skin to feel smoother, fuller, and plumper.

Fillers can be used in all areas of the face. Placed in the cheeks they can combat the sagging and flattening of features by recapturing the volume and plumpness of a youthful face.

Used in lips they can add volume and definition as well as reduce the appearance of fine lines around the mouth.

Dermal fillers placed in the nose can be a non-surgical alternative to a nose job (rhinoplasty). It is quicker, less invasive, and lower cost than surgery but can still achieve a good result. Nose reshaping can include filling in depressions, making it more symmetrical, or changing the shape of the nose. Carried out in as little as 15 minutes and with hardly any recovery time, this procedure is very popular.

Other areas that can be treated include jawline sculpture and definition, correcting and chapping the chin, neckline, and décolletage where deeper fillers may be used to plump out acne scars or smooth depressions.

Another common procedure is to improve the look of dark circles under the eye in what is known as the “tear trough” or sunken eyes. What looks like discoloration and darkness can often be caused by loss of subcutaneous fat with thinning of the skin over the orbital rim ligaments, combined with cheek descent.

Different areas of the face use different types and thicknesses of filler which will be discussed with you at the consultation.
